Thank you Jane!

I wrote these words in 1998 but they are for this day also and every day.

HIS OFFER STILL STANDS !! The door to Salvation is swung wide open. The saints of God stand along it's pathway ushering in the lost, the forlorn, the broken hearted, the oppressed, the captive. Though someone may be prosperous, and healthy, and attractive, and successful, and highly intelligent, and witty, the Lord may look upon them as poor and wretched and hungry and homeless.

Please join us here in fellowship ! Join us in prayer. When two are gathered in His name you have church ! Bring us your legitimate concerns, your requests, your doubts, your questions ; we will entertain them all.

I promise you that you will be treated with respect; but here , please dress appropriately, do not be the only one in attire that is not furnished by the Lord of Hosts.

When the marriage supper was opened up to the public the servants went down to the highways and byways to invite any or all that would come to the supper. But there was one man that refused to put on the attire that the host provided; the servants cast him into outer darkness where there was weeping and gnashing of teeth; let him who has ears hear !!

In Christ, gregor

Jane, Gregor and All:

I agree. We all agree, this is not a debating place, but rather a place to submit prayer requests. There is definitely room to discuss and debate, on the "Ask God thread." We are not shutting out anyone, but this thread is for a specific reason. John can give his prayer requests, to Gregor.

Is it not written that one should be meek, or that one should turn the other cheek?

Of course it is also written that Saul killed his thousands and David his tens of thousands... such glory those primitives had, heh?

I think one of the best is: Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. Wonder how many would be burned at the stake today if that thought were still in vogue?
