Dan3: AMD is far more forthcoming than Intel.

Still&#133 It would be nice to have a profit/loss breakdown of the "Core Products" (Flash and CPU).

Dan, re "mushrooms, quite appropriately, are kept in the dark and fed..."
Dan, you bring up something interesting. You refer to AMD’s 10Q in which AMD is required to reflect upon segment profitability. However Flash is not shown separately but is included in Core Products unseparated from processors. But in AMD's quarter earnings release and announcement upon which the conference call is based Flash Revenues are shown as a separate item in Segment reporting and AMD does not show the profit or loss on the Flash. If stockholders knew how much cost applied to Flash they could get a better handle on processor unit cost and yields as well as profitability. Jerry is not about to divulge the breakdown of the cost of manufacturing Flash and Processors separately because he wants the stockholders to be focused on market share only and you guys continue to lose money. This snow job has more snow in it than yesterday’s football game.

AMD overzealots should not be crowing about AMD openness when they are being taken to the cleaners
