You are a liar and a fool, Average Joe. After the second world war Canada was held in high esteem by the world for her military contributions. Somewhere around the mid seventies, Diefenbaker cancelled the Aero. Ever since then, Canada has not done her fair share, IMO.

I did not agree with the scrapping of the Arrow. You are an idiot and a liar to state on this bulletin board that I chased the Arrow out of Canada. How stupid!

Diefenbaker was a Conservative and in many ways a champion of individual rights. However, he was a liberal at heart and only moved to Conservatism to gain power. It was his conflicts of value which withdrew Canada from the military arena. It was NOT "Solon"...little average guy Joe.

Go grab some back bacon and drop your insulting and mean spirited behaviour...

They only had a war with the States once, and they won! I would not want to push the Canadians ;-)! <gg>

That is because we know in one afternoon of strategic air strikes the U.S. could knock out all our provincial and territorial capitals without ever crossing the 49th!
Is that why? I sorta thought it was because you are a democracy and so are we and we have similar values. Also helps that we have the "special relationship" with Britain, so we,you, and them seem to end up on the same side in wars.

We'll behave, I promise.
You'd better! :-)

Actually, there are so many Americans with Canadian friends, or of Canadian extraction (my mother was born in London, Ontario) that I think it would VERY tough for a US gov't to get a war going with Canada. If they think Vietnam was bad...
