O.K. genius, try this one. Joe buys Stock A at $6.50 and sells it at $6.49. Use proceeds to buy Stock B at $6.49. Sells Stock B at $150.00. Has he made or lost money?

Or this one: Joe buys Stock A at $20.00. Stock A falls to .01. Joe doesn't sell. Joe wants to use stock as collateral on a loan. Joe presents personal net worth to banker showing Stock A at its book value of $20.00. Banker asks why he has done that. Joe says it's worth $20.00 because he bought it at $20.00 and it continues to be worth $20.00 until he sells it because "it might go up to $20.00 again". Joe says he "can't lose". Banker refuses loan and suggests Joe immediately seek psychiatric help.

I shorted NCF at $10.80 and covered at $14.80? I'd love to see the posts backing that up. And how many hours did you spend reviewing my posts in order to try and piece that together? Pathetic.

By the way, I would be interested in knowing if you would ever, under any conditions, sell an oil and gas trust at a loss? Think long and hard before you answer this one.
