Yes. This is one of the very encouraging signs. It indicates that a lot of very smart, informed people in managements of a lot of companies, have decided that the storage area will have high margins and high sales growth, going forward. So many companies, from Microsoft to Blue Arc, are confirming that this is the space to be in. I've also read that storage is one of the very few areas that venture capital is still flowing into. It reassures me that the talk about commoditization of storage, is wrong.

I hope the barriers to entry are as high as we think they are. If we're wrong on this, then we'll see growth in profits lagging growth in sales. The track record of NTAP and EMC (in fending off challengers) is good, and hopefully that pattern continues into the future.
