craig, soy isn't necessarily garbage. some people eat it b/c they don't like the idea of slaughtering animals. big deal, live and let live.

you go after other diets with same veracity that they go after yours... and with as little real knowledge, too. but it's apparently ok b/c it you. -ng-

let's agree to disagree and move on (and you don't have to answer why the atkins diet doesn't work well for world class athletes and the zone (including minor mods to account for the complexity of diet) does. hey, i NEVER asked, right? ;-)

you think processed ice cream is better than a banana? again, carbos aren't bad, excessive carbos are bad. the body NEEDS glucose to run optimally and carbos can be an excellent source of glucose (much better than converting protein to glucose!) - bananas included (even though sears doesn't like their glycemic index, but what the hey). they are also an excellent source of some vitamins and minerals and i, for one, am happy god gave us that gift. :-)
