The markets, however, have been assuming a far more rapid snap back than I think is likely to happen, largely because we haven't gone down very far.

Many attributed today's rally to Greenspan's remarks. I don't think they were listening very closely.

Sam, I guess my outlook is changing a bit. While I continue to believe we still have some downside left in AMAT along with the majority of semi-equips, time keeps marching on. Time will eventually solve the issues with the sector. I suspect that my long purchase today is an indication of my acceptance that time may be beginning to run out for this dark-side trader. I'm planning on averaging down my buys from here (down to below $35), but just in case she fools me and I don't get the opportunity, at least I'll have the first 300 at $40!
