And I didn't mean huge difference in a bad way. If you hold as much or more AMAT long term as you are trading short daily then you are significantly hedged against an unexpected upmove. Which is a far cry from simply being short and wondering when it will stop. Its a smart strategy.
You are taking advantage of what the market gives everyday. And I bet explains a good bit why you are wholly unconcerned when AMAT goes 5 points against you. You have time and peace of mind by the long term holds.

The huge difference part would come into play risk wise for a reader that tried to mimic your short trades as posted daily. Without the benefit of your hedge.
