AMD gained nearly four points of market share against its rival to end the year with just more than 20 percent of the PC processor market, despite losing two points sequentially from the third quarter, according to new numbers released by Mercury Research this week.

Our good buddy Paul posted this on the Intel thread. It lists Mercury Research as estimating Q4 market share being Intel 80.6 and AMD 18.5. They're probably wrong about market share, but the stock may take a hit tomorrow. Anyone who trades the stock may want to await the opportunity of buying after this report has become widespread.
