I respect your opinion Dave, and did not say that China should not be monitored. But we have intelligence sources that easily know what they have and what is being constructed. Right now they are least 10 to 20 years away from being a formidable threat to the US if we just maintain our previous posture. So I would think that economic engagaement and free enterprise and working with them to forge alliances would work much better than the poking eyes and engaging in an arms race we are about to ignite.
