The Hammer is a waste of time as a 32 bit product.
If 32bit compatiblility was not an issue then Itanium and other archetectures would be doing a whole lot better than they are. I suspect Microsoft is working diligently on and OS for Hammer, but I acknowledge that they often do not meet their deadlines, especially with stability. In the mean time there will apparently be a 64bit OS available, especially for server applications.
