Most likely not. They just came to the conclusion that '8(years) is not enough, and neither is 9, here comes 10... whoops there it goes... and besides that the P4 is hopeless ...'

INTC has been doing an awful lot of reassuring over the past 3 years...If AMD has INTC snookered on the ia64 (all early indicators suggest that is so), no amount of reassuring is likely to stem the rate of accelerating decline evidenced by any objective review of INTC's financials over the past 3 years...
