<< I'm not sure what gus cares about. >>

Have you ever met self-centered people, who thrive by putting other people down? Hate groups are full of people who are underachievers and blame others because of their own failures in life. Hatred and jealousy of others, is a common chord.

So, Gustave doesn't care much for Jews and he doesn't care much for Muslims, but he spends considerable time putting members of each group down.

It's kind of funny. It's like going to the upcoming New England vs Pittsburgh playoff game and routing against both teams. <g>

PM to meet Bush in Washington on Feb. 7

By Aluf Benn

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon will travel to Washington in two weeks for a February 7 meeting with U.S. President George W. Bush.

The visit, which Sharon's office said was at Bush's invitation, was announced only hours after the White House yesterday endorsed Israel's confinement of Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat to Ramallah.

At an informal morning briefing, Bush spokesman Ari Fleischer said the president understood the reason Israel takes the action it does and said it is up to Arafat to demonstrate the leadership to combat terrorism. "[Not doing so] is a threat not only to Israel, but to Chairman Arafat," he said.

Arafat has been under virtual house arrest for nearly two months, and from his office window in Ramallah, he can peer out at Israeli soldiers who are posted down the street. This deprives him of barnstorming the Middle East and Europe in search of support for the Palestinians, said Fleischer.

A government source in Jerusalem said the planned Bush-Sharon meeting is further testimony to the understanding and coordination that exist between Bush and Sharon personally and between the U.S. and Israel in general. The meeting is expected to focus on the Israeli-Palestinian crisis and on ways of lowering the level of the conflict.
