People seem to be worried that in a couple of years Intel might have something to compete with Hammer. They don't seem to consider what Dirk's guys might come out with in a couple of years time.

As for what AMD need investment capital for, they are going to need a load of extra fab space in the next couple of years to build all those Hammers. This is a great time to snap up spare capacity at bargain basement prices. Personally I like the speculation about a share in the IBM SOI fab.

INTC has lost their way...

Do you believe that if you say this enough times it will somehow magically become true?

What say you about AMD's market share dropping to only 18.5% last quarter - and the "lost way" Pentium 4 outselling the Athlon by 15 million to 4 million?

Repeat after me:
INTC has lost their way...
INTC has lost their way...
INTC has lost their way...
INTC has lost their way...
INTC has lost their way...
INTC has lost their way...
