thecow, AVG e-mail: it does certify outgoing e-mail. If you turn that feature ON, it adds this message at the bottom:

Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
Version: 6.0.317 / Virus Database: 176 - Release Date: 1/21/02

Very nice. Since every recipient sees this, it behooves AVG to keep their product up-to-date.

<font color=red>HELP ME PLEASE!

On my home system, I cannot logon to MS Hotmail except through MS Outlook Express(WinXP). I also cannot log onto my brokerage account, nor my 403b account at www.403b.com. All require encryption and I **believe** this is where my problem lies. Other sites requiring passwords but no encryption, such as siliconinvestor, I can log onto. It is only a select few requiring 128bit encryption causing my pain. At work and elsewhere(using NT), I can logon without any problems through the internet. This just started two weeks ago on my home system; up until then I had no problems whatsoever. Yet the amazing thing is that I have rolled back my system by one month with System Restore on XP and I still have the same problems, yet they really did not exist then! I have NAV enabled and Norton Personal Firewall installed but disabled. And the same exact thing happens regardless of browser, whether I am using an IE6, Opera, or Copernic browser- that is what is most maddening.

I spent an hour and a half with a technician from ATT today; we went through many steps yet the problem remains. A cyber-beer is on me for anyone who can help me get back up and running:-)

Any help is much appreciated.

Brian
