Milo, re: XP 3000+?

It's a fake. Here's what Chris Tom of AMD Zone writes:

Faked Athlon XP 3000+

There is an image of a faked Athlon XP 3000+ floating around. I will not post to any site foolish enough to put it up and try and make money off of it.

P.S.: Athlon XP 3000+ would run at 2333 MHz unless AMD plans to lower IPC.

Ref: Athlon 3000+ Prototype.

It's fake. The package is clearly that of a T-bird.

Here's a new pic of the Thoroughbred that I haven't seen posted before:

Sitting next to a Pally, one can see how diff. this two layouts are.

If that's a t-bred why did they print Palomino on it?
You'd think AMD would know the difference which suggests it an Adobe photoshop special.
OTOH, 2.33 Ghz would give a 2000+ rating 40% more than 1.67 going from palomino to t-bred. Since t-bread is a dumb shrink 40% is possible but improbable for a long while.
