The IRS on the other hand may have a list if any of these private sites and even which are profitable. You might try www.irs.gov if you are serious. Vendit, when did the IRS start giving out summaries of information from private tax returns? Just curious. - Jeff

I don't intend to explain it before the fact, but if I'm proven correct, you'll be one of the first to know about it. <g> So far, we're on-track. I'm looking at too short a timeframe right now, but it's currently tracking considerably above my expectations. The IH model has few (if any) similarities to the AOL model. AOL is not just a content provider. And they have some huge costs because of that. Personally, I like the SI model but for one thing I see as its "fatal flaw": Lifetime subscriptions. Take a site like this with no lifetime subscriptions and the only overhead being the ISP, the hardware, and 4 warm bodies (a geek, a business guy, an admin, and a lawyer when needed), and you're making a sustainable profit. That's just my opinion and I could be wrong. But I'm betting money I'm right. We'll soon see. Gimme about 6 months and I'll get back to you with an answer. I'm not going to tell you how I plan to do it. But will be more than happy to come back and tell you how I did it, should "it" happen.
