Hi there, you guys sure can yak it up. almost 400 posts in 3 days and Sunday was all football games.

The girl planning it said she can't cook, and her chili is terrible.

That reminded me of when I was in the USAF and just married 6 months and was renting a small travel trailer, one of four that a woman had in her backyard to rent to GI's. One of our trailer neighbors was a young couple in the same circumstances and they invited us over for a spaghetti dinner one evening. Well, the poor girl wasn't very far along the cooking learning curve. When she proudly presented her spaghetti sauce that was to accompany her slightly pasty pasta lumps, it was everything I had in me to contain myself politely. The bowl of sauce contained some pinkish red water with the skin of a whole tomato floating in it. She was so proud of "her first time preparing a whole meal by herself."

We returned the invitation a few days later and tried not to show up her cooking, but it was pretty difficult even with cheap pork steaks and mashed potatoes and a veggie.
