It reads even more so in the extended quotation. Adi Da may believe his teachings to be compatible with Christianity but if they were there would be little difficulty finding Christian leaders who shared that belief. But I don't expect any to step forward anytime soon.

It is indeed very dismissive to characterize another faith as but a foreshadowing of one's own "fuller" revelation.

Christianity considers Jesus to be the living central focus and wellspring of His Church. Yet Da waves this away saying "No Transmission comes directly from Jesus now. The link with Jesus through Baptized devotees has been broken." Da's assertion that "All the rest of it, all the "washed-by-the-blood-of-Jesus" mythology, all of the salvation-through-the-death-of-Christ mythology, has nothing whatever to do with the Teachings of Jesus." will surely come as a revelation to most practicing Christians.

How do you see it other than as dismissive of Christian faith and tradition?
