Thanks for that, Pinza. I happen to believe Apple has left Gateway in the dust and won't be seeing them in the rear-view mirror again.

Too bad it's so far to break into the top five.

Btw, I was gratified to learn that Apple still has an edge with Japanese characters. A PhD student in East Asian studies that I know had to pick a laptop and wasn't sure if the Mac still had it's traditional edge. Well, after much research the iBook was the easy choice.
