Probably not. When AMD first preannounced Hammer, they stated that K8 would have triadic instructions. My guess is that Intel will have based their own x86-64 architecture upon this hypothetical architecture and as a result, Intel's x86-64 implementation will have a triadic instruction set.

As has been pointed out by others smarter than I, Intel can't change too much; otherwise the existing software won't run on it. My uneducated guess is that, seeing as Hammer will have SSE and SSE2, Intel will come out compatible to 86-64 ,with more SSE extensions, like a SSE3, and assume the software will optimize for Intel again.
