Infonet Services Corporation (NYSE:IN; FSE:IN), a leading provider of global communications services for multinationals, today announced that the company was honored with the Data News Telecom Innovation of the Year 2001 Quality Award for its Network Analysis Program (NAP) in Belgium. Infonet's NAP is a key element in Infonet's Application Defined Networking (ADN) strategy of optimizing enterprise class application (e.g. ERP, SCM, CRM) performance by prioritizing the global network to deliver maximum return on investment for a client's business objectives.

The Data News Awards for Excellence is one of the most prestigious annual ICT-events in Belgium, recognizing innovative products and services.

``Data News gave the jury, comprised of laureates of the Data News ICT Manager Contest, the assignment to award a prize to the most innovative and useful application for the customer,'' said Jose Delameilleure, Editor in Chief of Data News. ``That Infonet was awarded with its Network Analysis Program comes as no surprise. We are very pleased with Infonet winning this prize, as they have invested many years in providing telecommunications assistance to Belgian businesses.''

The Network Analysis Program is a patent-pending methodology developed in support of Infonet's Application Defined Networking approach to global networking. The NAP process delivered by the Infonet Consulting unit analyzes a client's existing network infrastructure to determine whether the network is optimally designed for the customer's mix of enterprise applications. The NAP allows multinationals to quantify network-intensive applications' impacts on network performance and understand the relationship between applications, networks and business objectives.

``We are extremely proud to be recognized for our commitment to help multinationals leverage their strategic IT investment. By providing our clients with insight into network activity and recommendations for optimal performance, Infonet's NAP program allows them to realize their business goals, whether it is globalizing processes or communicating with partners, customers and suppliers,'' said Janette Boldman, Area Practice Director, Europe, Infonet Consulting.

The Data News Awards for Excellence were presented on November 8, 2001, in Brussels, Belgium.
