mark.... I do the same thing (falsifying) refund slips as you....A rare instance when you can lie and feel good about it. :)

Mark, I have done something similar that tells me where certain junkmail and other things come from. I use my dogs (2 Jacks) names on things I sign up for on the Internet etc. They now recieve more mail than I do one even has a free subscription to Investors Business daily..LOL.. Now they are starting to get phone calls. I ask " Have you spoken to her before" they say "yes" I tell them that I do not let my dog speak to strangers on the phone any more... once they find out it is a dog they are usually dumbfounded and do not know what to say... Mark, The reason retailers need your name and phone number on a return is to verify whether or not a legitimate person got the refund. There are a lot of employees that steal stuff and send friends and relatives in for refunds. That is why almost all companies require proof of purchase and signatures on refunds. Including identification and a phone #. i said you didn't get that when i paid for it, you're not getting that now. The additional info is for the auditors. The auditors did not need the info until you asked for a refund. Have fun, Phil Edit: All of you false IDers would not get by me without a valid receipt and current ID.
