Who is defending Enron?

Rather then Enron pointing out what's wrong with Capitalism. Enron is pointing out the beauty of Capitalism. It illustrates the wonders of Capitalism. It shows how well Capitalism cleanses itself of sickness and filth and dirt. And does so without damaging the entire system.

You are trying to establish that Capitalism and the free market system is corrupt by virtue of the Enron Scandal.

Sure what happened with Enron was bad, wrong and people got hurt.

But when you look at what happened with Enron the fact that it's cleaning itself up

The system works.

Nothing is perfect. But when imperfections like this come along how a system deals with it is really a good measure of it's success.

You are trying to make the case that's just the opposite. That Capitalism is inherently corrupt and Enron proves it.

You are wrong.

What's frightening about Enron is that *no one* has been officially charged with a crime and so many people have already convicted them.

Mr. Lay has been tried and convicted by the mainstream press in the court of public opinion. And he hasn't even been arrested for a crime. The whipped up hysteria by the propaganda machine of the press, gives us notice of what mob rule must have been like in medieval times.

What manipulated media agents have done is forgotten that we are a nation of laws, a nation which allows its citizens due process, a nation which values individual rights to the extent that we're assumed innocent until proven guilty.

The media and their KGB like agents (predominately of the Democrat party), want to circumvent our legal process, convict and try a person without an arrest or court proceeding, and ruin their life based on innuendo and emotion driven class envy.

It's disgusting and should shame any thinking american who cares about our civil rights.

This then brings up a simple question. Why? Why would the media focus so much negative attention on a bankruptcy when no one has been arrested of a crime?

The answer is really quite simple. Liberal bias. The mainstream left wing media know more then anyone else how popular our compassionate conservative President has become. They know the American people see him as a person with integrity, decency, and straight talking common sense. They know his popularity has coat-tails, and will likely translate into Republican victories this November.

The thin majority in the Senate which gives Dashle such a loud microphone to spill his lies with, is in serious jeopardy of being lost. And they desperately want to stop it.

That's what Enron is all about. A business failure, turned into a media hyped hope filled political scandal in order to change public opinion about our President and his political party.

The anecdotal evidence of this is in the near continuous posting on SI of rabid liberals. They live each day in the hope that Enron can be given political legs. They have become completely consumed by this mission. Some, so thoroughly, they barely eat and sleep without an Enron negative post.

It's almost comical to watch their fanaticism on display for everyone to see.
