Anybody ever have a problem with "use inline autocomplete"?
I'm using W2K Pro with IE 5.5sp2 and just just unchecked it
in Internet Options Advanced Settings but it didn't shut off. The only thing I can think of is some kind of conflict
with TweakUI but I just played around with anything even
mildly related to it in TweakUI with no success. Any thoughts?

The machine I referred to is a DELL XPS T700r which was also purchased in late 99 so my guess is you're OK. XP has built in CD burning software which works just fine for basic stuff.

Bill, thanks for the note. Looks promising. At the moment I'll settle for just getting XP installed and running. I've been reading about Roxio and also Nero and NTI for CD software. I did run the MS XP upgrade advisor this morning. I must have seen your earlier note. Lots of potential problems. Should keep me busy for a while. Seems like all the software and hardware upgrades required for XP should be more than enough to bring the economy out of recession. <g>
