Elmer, re: I think he's a complete piece of crap and the reason is he's an egomaniac who has hijacked an otherwise viable company and used it for his own personal campaign of hate. He has shown a total disregard for shareholders and has sold off any asset available to finance his Jehad. He cares nothing for profits other than those he drains from the company treasury.

Isn't it ironic that AMDroids love the one who keeps giving them the shaft?

And you are running the same campaign here against Jerry. If you look back at history, it was Intel who convinced AMD to be the second source for Intel. And when Intel unilaterally broke their deal, and decided AMD was too much trouble and could be gotten rid off, Grove and the rest probably figured, business was business, Jerry's feelings would be hurt, but so what, he will get over it. And when Jerry didn't forget on schedule, then it was Jerry's fault for running a jihad, even though it was Intel who started the jihad. Things like that happen. A good one, is the jihad America went on after Japan bombed Pear Harbour. Japan was hoping for a short war, a war in which they could make some gains and sue for peace before things got ugly. If you were Japanese, with your attitude, you would be blaming America for carry the war on for yrs, after Japan wanted to stop it. And if we look at jihads, this one actually hasn't been going on that long. How long has the Jewish, Arab jihad been going on; or the IRA war; and there was once a hundred yr war? How long do you think it will take America to finish the jihad the fundamentalists have started against us? This war could be ongoing for the rest of our lives.

In comparison, it only took AMd five or six yrs, to come out with the Athlon, and show Intel that sometimes you are better off working with someone rather than working against them. Now the guys at Intel are complaining about Jerry carrying on a jihad Intel started. Thats the problem with starting jihads. The side who has the most perserverance, the side that never quits; usually wins. Noyce and Grove retired, leaving Sanders to finish it. And while AMD hasn't won the war, they are starting to win some battles. Unfortunately for Intel; that is how America won the War of Independence, and how North Vietnam beat America. What goes around can indeed come around.

Misplaced anger, Elmer...It's tough to like JS because he is responsible for the fact that not only does INTC no longer have the stage for themselves, but may no longer have the lead role in another year...Two ways to react to real competition...

i)develop a better product lineup than your competitor and a better plan going forward
ii) lash out at the person who has exposed your weakness.

Seems many Intellites, not unlike yourself, choose the latter!!!

Like Jack Tremiel hijacked Commodore? Sorry, just as Jack Tremiel started Commodore, Jerry Sanders started AMD. And, just as those investing Commodore were basically investing in Jack Tremiel, those investing in AMD were basically investing in Jerry Sanders. Of course, Commodore investors were smart enough to get rid of Jack Tremiel because of his jihad against TI. Perhaps if AMD investors get rid of Jerry because of his jihad against Intel AMD can thrive in the post Jerry days, just as Commodore did in the post Jack days.
