Watched Wall street week tonight. Lou brought up the Templeton prediction that the Dow and the Nikkei would cross, a prediction made back when the Nikkei was around 40,000, over 10 years ago. It just broke into the 9000s.

What a gutsy, right call!

tgptndr, who would have thought ten years ago......what a bubble the Japanese put together........I hope that's not us now.

BTW is Templeton that old guy who lives on long island? I think M. Bartiromo has interviewed him.......she goes gaga talking to him...you would think Templeton is Ricky Martin. <g> Maybe its not the same guy but this one is in his 70's or 80's and very thin.

TP, just looked at the charts.......the Dow seems only to be doing some sideways consolidation of the Sept to Dec gains; however, the Naz, while consolidating as well, is not hanging as tough........although it continues to hug its 50 DMA.

I think what may happen is the Naz will make one of its huge one day drops before they both start to recover. However, many of the tech stocks are near their trading range lows and some near their 52 week lows. Only the Naz component stocks and the big names seem to be holding up.
