I like chess, but to compete, you have to memorize so many different scenarios. That is all Big Blue is, not really Artificial Intelligence, just a comprehensive programming of expert knowledge. AI is still a long way off. What I mean is, hardware is being developed that makes it possible to allow for a computer program to run the same calculation every time a move is made, but there is not a program that allows it learn which moves are best, thus saving calculation efforts.
