That's actually a sad statement. Don't pidgeonhole yourself;
do what you want. I don't usually give advice, but here are three practical tips for "breaking out":

(1) First, wear coloured underwear under your staid business attire.

(2) When you're comfortable with (1), then don't wear any underwear under your staid business attire.

(3) When you're comfortable with (2), wear socks that are not black (for men), or lipstick that is not red (for women) Note well: It is extremely important not to get these two mixed up.

That's all there is to it.
Break out; don't be yourself; be anybody you want.
