That is just about the stupidest post I've seen on this thread. Thatcher wasn't criticizing Bush, but moreover, so what if the international force was there? That doesn't mean they would have mindlessly marched to Baghdad just because Bush said so. The US Congress didn't authorize it. The Saudis didn't authorize it. The UN didn't authorize it. None of our allies authorized it. IT WASN'T AUTHORIZED! IT WASN'T THE MISSION!

But YOU'RE the big advocate of the US going along with Europe and Asia on international affairs, as a sign that we're not isolationist, aren't you?

Please reconcile your contradictory positions before posting.

Btw, Bush did accomplish the mission 100%. He got Saddam out of Kuwait.

E.T. are you too young to remember which party opposed the use of force in the Gulf? Heck, Gephard even threatened to end financial support for the troops if we went ahead. The Democrats fought tooth and nail against the use of force in the Gulf.

Most of the Democrats opposed our use of force in Kawaiit. And they strenuously opposed us going into Baghdad. Democrats in Seattle even held a peace-march here to stop our use of force.

Armchair quarterbacking and criticizing former President Bush for not going into Baghdad is nonsense.

E.T. phone home. You're lost again...
