I think that the USD will start to soften after the NYC Economic Forum will end. That forum was a USD love fest with every geek praising the US economy.

Money Supply growth runs at a 14% to 17% pace at a time the GDP is flat at best. Americans are in general very optimistic and more so after several years of booming equity markets and the USD they all talk up their position ..... after all what else is left ??

As to gold all indications are that people should run to gold as a safe heaven but the Euro seems also great opportunity. IMHO the Euro will start changing the USD in the Mattress Banks around the world and more so in Eastern Europe after March 1, when all other currencies will be exchanged into Euros. Even the Brit's are starting to warm up to the Euro ....... at the moment being divided 50% - 50% if to join or not, a big change since last year that the ratio was more like 30% - 70% or worse.
