Sexist. If you truly are a woman, I respect your opinion about abortion, since you are capable of having to make that dfificult decision one day. I respect it--but I don't agree with it. Fine. Since you will never participate in a battle, you are incapable of understanding military issues so you don't deserve an opinion on defense issues.

I do however respect another woman's right to have one if she does it responsibly. It is not a black & white situation. There can be extenuating circumstances. For instance, what if a mother has given birth to 5 children who were born blind & deaf with heart disease?(this has happened). Should that woman be forced to give birth to yet another child? I appreciate your candor Ann. I disagree that abortion is "responsible" however. Maybe the example you gave is real, but what is "responsible" about having a sixth child that you know will be blind and deaf with heart disease? Where is this woman and man's compassion? Would you get pregnant knowing that you were going to abort the baby? What kind of sense does that make? Is this woman playing games with her own offspring's lives. Is she hoping against hope that she finally has a "normal child?" Taking responsibility for your reproductive capabilities is respectable. Continually aborting babies because they aren't perfect, or the desired sex one hoped for, or any other number of excuses that women make due to their refusal or inability to plan around the lives of their unwanted mistake is not. IMO, abortion is murder. Aborted fetuses are aborted human beings, and I will never respect the choice of abortion. Name me other species that intentionally kill their offspring. Don't equate me with those animals. That is what makes you and me unique. We know better. M
