<Thomas M's remark on 911, a real dumb remark if I may say so, but does not express in any way a desire for harm to USA people. imho>

No one said it expressed desire, it (and several others) expressed something much more deplorable...

It was not only dumb, Pearly, it was a gloating, I-told-you-so remark made at the very time when the Twin Towers were still burning and people were dying in them. This is why I found it so offensive and remembered it so vividly.

Do you have any idea how many innocent people the U.S. has intentionally killed of the last 200 years? I'll give you a hint - it's way over 3000. Heck, 3000 is probably one good raid into Guatemala back in the 1980s. Those darn Natives, a bunch of Commies, you know.

Many people around the world don't like our policy of leaving Saddam in power (in fact helping him crush rebellions), and then killing 500,000 Iraqi children over the next decade.
