David, yes, I know that, but exactly which one, where does it come from, what produces it, why does it get produced and so on back up the chain of causal effects and mechanism?

I don't believe there is such a chemical.

If there is one, maybe that's the cause of recessions, depressions, total financial collapses and black hole despair, mass murder, genocide and world war. Perhaps everyone gets the chemical at the same time because of something on tv then they cause it in each other by telling each other that things are really bad and we should all be depressed, give up and die because if the stockmarket doesn't get us, the ozone layer will and if that doesn't then the greenhouse effect followed by an ice-age and overpopulation causing too many road crashes will.
