And Japan knew all that and also new that there was an agreement that the defeat of Germany would be given highest priority. Germany was now defeated. JAPAN COULD NOW BE GIVEN THE UNDIVIDED ATTENTION OF THE STRONGEST MILITARY ALLIANCE IN HISTORY! ' And still they did not surrender. Talk about thick. BTW, if you wish to continue insults, do so. You'll get to talk to yourself. I'm trying to ignore facts? There's that bit above. There's my last post about preparations for a last-ditch, to-the-death defense by the Japanese. And 1. They had not surrendered before the first Bomb. In spite of the above. 2. They did not surrender after the first bomb. 3. They did not surrender until several days after the second bomb. 4. They could have surrendered at any time, including the period following Germany's unconditional surrender up to the time the first bomb was dropped. And did not do so. 1 shows a stubborn unwillingness to surrender and a determination to kill as many roundeyes as possible. The roundeyes were under no requirement to agree to that. 2 shows they still didn't get it. Maybe they thought that explosion was just a fluke, just luck. 3 disproved that- -and showed the roundeyes had more of those nasty things FINALLY it penetrated their stupid thick skulls that they really had only two options: (a) surrender, or (b) be wiped out to the last man, woman, or child. The only Japanese left alive would be in the foreign countries- -like the US. What's Eisenhower got to do with this? He was ETO commander."Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds." I'm quite familiar with that quote from Oppenheimer, thank you. And why is it OK to kill 100,000 civilians in a single conventional raid, but not OK to do it using an atomic bomb?
