Mightylakers. Well, the Chinese may well be a little ahead of the US in deploying 3G. Engineer always saif that wheh you completed the 1X, the time and cost to convert from 1X to 1X EV DO was minimal. This allears to be the case in Korea.

Our problem is that QCOM is dragging the whole industry forward -- including a woloe group of self-righteuos companies that thought they knew what they were doing.

Look at the obstruction from MOT and NOK in getting Rel A of 1X approved.

I don't think the market has any idea that wireless data (CDMA2000, 1xEV, 1xEV DO, and 1xEV DV) & wireless networking (802.11b, Bluetooth, and USB ports) are going to leverage the number of devices that people use.

I demand a wireless tower that deploys 1XEV DO for residential applications including VoIP, Broadband, and Cable/TV. The machine needs to deploy home networking via WiFi or Bluetooth, and a host of USB ports for equipment attachments (still camera, gaming equipment, video camera, mp3 player, laptop, pda, etc...)

Since I'll be yanking the cords from my cordless phones, it would be nice to have a few recharging stations around the house.
