Personally, I've been saying this for years now. I'm glad people are finally waking up, even if it took a stock market crash and an Enron. I think you will see people taking a more careful look at executive compensation packages and proxy items. It's hilarious how these companies are the private playthings of the CEO and his cadre of underlings with the complicity of the BOD. These companies exist solely to aggregate public funds to support a private jet lifestyle for a few rather than to provide basic goods and services. The world will have their long distance without WCOM and without Bernie's 183 million dollar margin call graciously covered by all the old folks pension funds and all the hard working people's 401k plans.
