I think you're dreaming on this one. It has even less chance now that in 1947. The ability to perpetuate the conflict over holy sites lies in people's heads; internationalization only guarantees the next war.

Conflict over holy sites is in fact a sore point with the Israelis, as they have respected churches and mosques, but the Jordanians destroyed all the synagogues of the Old City when it was in their possession. Not to mention the current behavior of the Waqf.
