Sun made the sales at the time and I am not saying they should give the money back. Just saying that the money didn't come from the customer, it came from the customer's backers.

So the people who have a combined loss on the stock market of $10 Trillion in the past 2 years helped the people who founded pets.com and etoys.com etc get rich while the business plans failed and Sun raked in cash.

Now that $10 T is being spent on islands, fighter jets and other toys for McNealey and his friends, it is not available for backing unviable companies. So that is the end of a big source of Sun revs. The point is, where's the recovery gonna come from if a rev stream has been cut off?
