A possible reason for the distracting fight over energy records.

Is Bush trying to cover tracks?

President Bush and Vice President Cheney are dogmatic in refusing to release records of Cheney’s energy policy committee staffed by oil barons. Is that just a red herring preparatory to stonewalling Congress’s request for White House records that might reveal Bush machinations in Afghanistan during the summer of 2001?

Did Bush give the Taliban a choice last summer of (a) incredible wealth in exchange for a UNOCAL pipeline across Afghanistan or (b) be bombed into oblivion? Why did Bush limit FBI investigations of al-Qaida during the same period?

Why was Dubya absent for an extended vacation in Texas when such an ultimatum could have been given? Why were select military forces on heightened alert and naval ships sent out of port at the same time Bush was on vacation?

Did Bush No. 43 provoke 9-11?

Americans deserve an answer now, not 50 years from now.
