That's one way to look at it if you have a disciplined way of running your financial affairs. But let's say, like 99% of the population, you don't run your affairs in a disciplined way.

Let's say you bought a more expensive home, and took out finance for a car. Things you wouldn't have done if you weren't sitting on a couple of hundred thou in SUNW stock. Now you have tens of thou in SUW stock and the belt gets tightened, or if you bought on margin you sell your house.

This is how you can be theoretically in the same place that you were a few years ago, but financially you have been fu**ed by the bubble.
