Elmer, Re: <Ha! Good one!>

I'm glad you liked it. You should realize that there's a lot of stuff I really do LOL about!

Like, They couldn't sell any more than half the capacity of their F30 when Intel was capacity constrained.

LOL -- You slay me!

Re: <You think AMD's holding back? For what?>

For more capacity. While I'm of the impression they could release(a 2200+) now, it wouldn't change their overall pricing mix, IMO. The model numbers along side of the $ values would change but the $ values would remain about the same. The only way we're going to see is by judging from AMDs reaction if Intel puts out a 2400 this Q.

And the 2000+ has the Northwood 2200 covered in performance.

AMD lost market share, the performance crown

You and wanna always repeating that AMD lost the performance crown doesn't make it true, unfortunately for you.

Here's a repeat of my link to one burnt and disappointed Intel buyer, who no doubt will be a part of INTC's continuing slippage to the guaranteed performance offered by AMD:

gcc.gnu.org
