Was just reading back through some of our earlier exchanges, and noticed that you seem to be under the impression that there are investors involved in my new gig, and that it's them you're trying to "save".

I did put a lot of effort into doing the dog and pony show thing to the deeper pockets, but none of them understood message boards or were willing to let me run the show. There were also smaller investors who were willing and understood the game, but I didn't want to bring any of them on board unless the project had large enough financial backing to decrease the risk to the smaller players.

I ended up deciding to self-fund it (on a shoe-string with very tight controls on cost) so that only my money would be at risk.

And I'm really glad I ended up going this route. I bought the hardware for it and paid the first month of the ISP bill, and it hasn't needed another dime from me since. I'm keeping enough in reserve to handle 2 years of funding for it, but it looks like it won't need to draw from it.

A few months ago, I was trying to sell part of it to a big funder and they passed. Last week I had to explain to the same person that we weren't going to need his organization's money and, no, I'm not interested in selling any of my stock.

It still remains to be seen whether it can be a successful and profitable venture, but I think it will be, or I wouldn't put my time and money on the line. You think it can't be, but your POV is really irrelevant as neither your time nor money are involved.

You're welcome to your opinion. I just don't care what it is. :)
