Sooo, are you saying the Jack and Carly show was more like I read it. 1.) Jack is serious about the competition. 2.) Jack is being a gentleman about Carly's EU approval remarks. Her EU approval remarks strike me as "smart a$$" in print.

I read the interview. It was clear he was playing Devil's Advocate. He has made his positive views of the merger known on several occasions. He thinks it's a good idea (one of the reasons I have switched my views on it).
Reporters, on the other hand, don't pay attention to context. They simply listen to words, and don't analyze them. They are morons.
