There is also that pressing little problem of the constitutional right to defend oneself. Stripping one of one's assets PRIOR to have be convicted of a crime does seem bothersome, debtor prison-wise. Other than this Kangaroo court that Judge Lawence Kudlow is holding and his trial by advertising sponsor, the only 2 new pieces of EVIDENCE I have heard lately is that 1) LJM debt had to be restated and listed on the Enron balance sheet because because the bank CITI* Corp? (not enron) pulled out 6 Billion Dollars , yes that's billion with a capital B out of one of the Raptors, BUT THE CASH STAYED IN THE PARTNERSHIP, the bank did not get it back, only got it secured. That left 12 BILLION in the Raptor, that's Raptor with an R, the money was left just secured. This is a related party that Arthur Anderson a 3 Billion dollar accounting firm not only knew about, signed the 10k and 8 separate 10Q's but was paid additional fees to specifically set up IN A LEGAL MANNER and confirm that to Ken Lay!!!!!! Could it possible be that all this shit was legal?? And that Anderson AND Senator Gramm and his lovely wife Wendy Gramm, ex head of the Fed Comodities TC and MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF ENRON, was telling Lay that it was alright??? Oh, and yeah, the other thing I learned is that the State of California owes Enron for legally negotiated gas contracts, after the politicians GAVE AWAY OUR GENERATING PLANTS 48 BILLION DOLLARS, that I am sure they would rather not pay. And your worried about some football team. There are wheels within wheels here, Smart, follow the [huge amounts of] money, don't get sidetracked on that odd couple a hunert mill. *As a side matter it is somewhat interesting in passing that the additional collateral consistered of 350 Million shares of Enron, which went to pay THE BANK, not you or me or the 401 k plans. And in a completely unrelated matter, Sandy Weill, the Chariman of CITIcorp, Traqvelors, Solomon Smith Barney, was interviewed on television today and said that the change in the law which allowed banks to issue stock to raptors, which was just changed, WAS GOOD BECAUSE IT HELPED SEVICE OUR LITTLE BITTY GREAT UNWASHED POOR DUMB SADSACK CUSTOMERS.
