Well most ways proposed to "make it better" will in my opinion either make it worse or cause some other problem.

One thing that would reduce campaign finance problems is to make government less powerful so there is less desire to bribe it to ge t favors or protection.

Its not only that. I have a philosophical problem with telling folks how to spend their own money too.
