I've found that, given the opportunity, women are MORE VIOLENT than men. Witness women's boxing, which is often a mere spectacle of bad sportsmanship.

My hypothesis is this is because men are acclimated and socialized to violence in boyhood, and learn the limits and protocols of aggression. Girls, for the most part, do not, and so may lack the learned controls of ritualized violence. Which is what any barroom brawl, or conventional clash of arms, really is.

Maybe if we encouraged girls to get in more fights in childhood, and they learned the wisdom of the bloody nose...
