As is evidenced by the VIX and bullish complaceny. Despite the indexes being down from the recent highs, this is still viewed as a buying dip. There is no fear. We've got major bankruptcies and scandals going on, huge debt problems, and earnings that have erased any gains made in the last 6 years. In fact, the Nasdaq will return negative earnings as a whole this quarter, which is the first time something like this has happened in over 70 years.

Dividends are down, jobless rates are up, GDP growth is negative (no I don't count the inflated number of recent due to defense and the zero percent financing auto boost as positive)....I can list a whole host of factors. Yet, only the Nasdaq has been pummeled and historically it's still overvalued even at this point. Bullish complacency is high and even the big brokers continue to upgrade stuff day after day.
