And if it is non-producers that are interesting, don't forget the Fish Lake deposit of Taseko Mines (TKO-v), also in British Columbia. The same kind of deposit as Kemess; lower grade but over a billion tonnes of the stuff.

This used to be my favourite stock. I sat through the entire court hearing when TKO sued Cominco for non-completion of feasibility study. Cominco obviously thought it was worth fighting to keep. Later they gave up their interest for a settlement that was worth over $20M to them. The stock subsequently went to $20 per share, I believe.

TKO has also bought the old Gibraltar mine and with it a technology developed by Cominco that would see copper produced right at the minesite, thus eliminating transportation costs etc.

With the propect of increasing metal prices, there's lots of excitement ahead for mining in B.C. (despite the terrible politics of the province ! gg)

Nothing exotic about México, Perú, state of Nevada ...well, perhaps the latter, but not if you stay out of the bright lights, keep to normal homey-sounding places like the Battle Mountain Trend -g- ... of course, it's a gamble either way

Political risk - big big factor in resources ... case in point, Sheeple's Republik of Lotusland, a/k/a 'British Columbia' ... first time i ever heard the name Chester Millar was when he shut down Afton during the first NDP regime '72-'75 when they were trying to extort a completely unreasonable slice of CM's well-earned pie .... Royal Oak got screwed royally, it wasn't just badly managed though that was also a factor, yes

Kemess is low-grade ... low-grade and big - gives major leverage in PoG rise, but like any lever it can kick you in the teeth should things go the other way ... but then they just shut it down, wait for the next PoG lift ... which will come ..... yes ngx.to belongs on watchlists, for sure ... close eye on financings and the like is probably wise eh

[edit] - article on Ms Witte/Windy Craggy/Kemess et al, for those who don't know the story - mining.bc.ca
... she bet badly, heavily, in an arrogant manner, and lost ... but that doesn't make the NDP good guys either ... they're gone now, whew
