Man, that's expensive. Unless you are looting the public for hundreds of millions, or billions, of course.
In that case, it's pretty cheap to get positive comments pretty much across the "pundit" board, and all over the media.

"Kenny Boy" was just taking a page from the propaganda manual - pay off the pundits and you'll get your message in the press. At least until everything goes to hell.

Each of these mentioned have now damaged their reputation.

Except for those that refused the sell their integrity.

"Enron officials privately suggested did not pass the smell test"

That means we'll soon start hearing some of the big dollar bribes disclosed pretty soon -- the undisclosed partners in the offshore "special purpose entities".

Krugman is an extreme partisan Dem.

And Krugman wrote a puff-piece in Fortune on Enron while on the sinecure.

No such performance from any conservative. In fact, Kudlow only wrote columns that were anti-Enron.
